Join us on the water!
We’re a small, friendly club with junior and senior sections - and regular learn-to-row courses - based at Keswick on Derwentwater, in the heart of the beautiful English Lake District National Park.
Our members scull for fitness and fun - and compete successfully on the local, national and world stages - in singles, doubles and quads. We also have occasional outings on the lake in pairs, fours and an eight.

Learn to row
Our adult weekend learn-to-row courses cost £110 including club membership. To register for a place, please email our learn-to-row coordinator, Don Mitchell, including your mobile number. Follow the link below for more information, or to book a junior course costing £40. Bursaries are available for adults and juniors.
Wins and world records
Lakeland rowers of all ages race on the national and international stage, on water and indoors. In 2023, members took gold at the World Rowing Masters Regatta, the British Rowing Indoor Championships and the North West and Yorkshire Explore Series. In 2024, members have medalled at the World and European Indoor Championships.
Derwentwater Head 2024
Sadly, this year’s Derwentwater Head had to be cancelled due to high wind. We hope to see you in 2025.
